Aspen Basin

You can always tell when autumn is around the corner in Santa Fe. There is the smell of pinon smoke and green chilis roasting in the air, the mornings are crisp and cool and the aspens in the mountains turn bright yellow seemingly overnight.

Another of the painting-a-day series of small watercolors using loose watercolor washes quickly over a very rough paper. A fun way to bust loose and explore with watercolors that are different from my usual approach. 11" x 7" image size, matted and ready to frame.

Perfect for home or office.

Thanks for looking!

Image was photographed to represent original colors, but your monitor colors may vary the colors slightly.
