Riders on the prairie. Over the years I have had collectors form Germany showing interest in the Native American pieces. When I asked one older gentleman why that is so, he said their fascination with Native culture is due in large part to Karl May. In 1892, May published the first of many books about a fictional Apache warrior named Winnetou and his German blood brother Old Shatterhand.
