Little Aspen Grove

You can always tell when autumn is around the corner in Santa Fe. There is the smell of pinon smoke and green chiles roasting in the air, the mornings are crisp and cool and the aspens in the mountains turn bright yellow seemingly overnight.
During a day hike at the end of summer  looking out into the wilderness forest.; the colors are starting to change.

Another  series of  watercolors working to achieve a minimalist feel. A fun way to bust loose and explore with watercolors using quick strokes with a Japanese writing brush on rough watercolor paper.  14" x 11" image size, unframed.

Perfect for home or office.

Image was photographed to represent original colors, but your monitor colors may vary the colors slightly.
