Pinon Mist Abstract landscape of the plains at the east side of the Sangre De Cristo mountains. Misty mornings are a rare occurrence in the high desert of New Mexico. It's the end of summer and time to start harvesting the pinon nuts surrounding the villages and towns in Northern New Mexico. The smell of roasting green chili is the harbinger to the perfume of pinon smoke when the weather turns colder. Another series of watercolors working to achieve a minimalist feel. A fun way to bust
loose and explore with watercolors using quick strokes with a Japanese
writing brush on rough watercolor paper.
