Sandia Mountains Mountains south of Santa Fe in New
Mexico that have mined for gold since the colonial days of
the Spanish. An abstract landscape of the colorful and
seemingly endless mesas and the layers of colors at sunset
that have drawn artists for well over a century. The
Sandia Mountains, serve as a dramatic backdrop for
Albuquerque. They catch the colors of the sunset,
especially when the thunderstorms storms roll in.
Another in a series of
watercolors working to achieve a minimalist feel. A fun
way to bust loose and explore with watercolors using quick
strokes with a Japanese writing brush on rough watercolor
paper. 16" x 12" image size, matted and ready to
frame.
