North of Santa Fe in the foothills rising from the Tesuque Valley toward the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Among the hills, pinons and junipers cover the landscape. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains form the eastern back drop of Santa Fe. The southern tip of the range, often called the Santa Fe Mountains.  A landscape of colorful and seemingly endless mesas and the layers of in Northern New Mexico that have drawn artists for well over a century.
